The first Thursday evening of the month is always an exciting one for art lovers--on this evening, gallery owners feature new art exhibits. Along with entertainment and refreshments, these walks draw hundreds of viewers from Birmingham and surrounding towns.

Founded in 1957, the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association is a regional art center
offering classes for adults, teenagers and children. Over 100 classes are
offered each term in media such as pottery, jewelry, painting, drawing, printmaking,
art history, calligraphy, watercolor, pastels and many more. The BBAA also has a
changing exhibition schedule in its galleries showing work from students, faculty, and
community groups as well as national touring exhibitions. The BBAA has a Gallery Shop
where works of art can be rented or purchased. Workshops, tours, summer Art Camp,
lectures, fairs and a variety of special events are also offered. The BBAA is located
on the corner of Cranbrook and Fourteen Mile Road. Please call for information on
