Founded in 1957, the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association is a regional art
center
offering classes for adults, teenagers and children. Over 100 classes are
offered each term in media such as pottery, jewelry, painting, drawing,
printmaking,
art history, calligraphy, watercolor, pastels and many more. The BBAA also has a
changing exhibition schedule in its galleries showing work from students,
faculty, and
community groups as well as national touring exhibitions. The BBAA has a Gallery
Shop where works of art can be rented or purchased. Workshops, tours, summer Art
Camp, lectures, fairs and a variety of special events are also offered. The BBAA
is located on the corner of Cranbrook and Fourteen Mile Road. Please call for

The Community House, a non-profit organization, welcomes all people to its facilities in downtown Birmingham. We provide educational, social and cultural programs, child care, employment assistance, meeting rooms, banquet and catering services, and group travel activities. Birmingham Youth Assistance (BYA) is a
community-based program developed
by volunteers who live and/or work in the Birmingham area. Its purpose
is to strengthen youth and families and to reduce the incidence of
juvenile delinquency, child abuse, and neglect. BYA is a partnership of
Oakland County Probate/Circuit Court-Family Division, Birmingham Public
Schools, sponsoring municipalities, and volunteer citizens.
